Matt O'Neil

Matthew G. O'Neil, PT

Clinical Experience:

19 years Orthopedic / Sports Medicine Rehabilitation (SPTA)
21 years treating Orthopedic/ Neuro-musculoskeletal conditions. US Army Reserves, Medical Specialist Corp, Physical Therapist.

Activated February 2004 - April 2005. US Army Hospital, Wurzburg , Germany . In-patient and out-patient care of active duty military personnel in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Special Clinical Interests:

Matt has a specific clinical interest in the patho/mechanics and rehabilitation of shoulder and knee injuries. He has attended numerous seminars and continuing education focusing on the most advanced treatment techniques for safe and effective rehabilitation. Matt stresses patient education with all of his patients and believes their full understanding of the process of injury and rehabilitation is essential for a productive and positive outcome.





Tony Dematteo

Anthony DeMatteo, PT

Developed a comprehensive private practice with a special interest in orthopedics, sports medicine and industrial rehabilitation.
Developed and implemented rehabilitation programs for injured athletes in professional, collegiate division I, II, and III, high school, adolescence and youth populations.
Developed a local referral base of more than 100 physicians.
Expanded clinic to include Nautilus weight training, athletic enhancement and wellness programs.
Founding member of Athleticare, LLC.
Developed protocols used for sports muscular-skeletal screening.
Developed program to provide certified athletic trainers to Saratoga Springs High School .

Maureen Flaherty

Maureen P. Flaherty, MSPT

Clinical Experience:

Prior to joining SPTA in  2007, Maureen has worked in a variety of settings during her professional career including; Inpatient / Outpatient , Homecare, Aquatics Therapy and Vestibular Therapy.

Special Clinical Interests:

Maureen specializes in orthopedic and sports therapy as well as having extensive training and experience in manual and vestibular therapy techniques. Maureen develops results - driven treatment plans, helping her patients achieve their therapeutic goals. She is focused on the prevention of injuries and in patient and family education as it pertains to diagnosis and treatment / lifestyle considerations.





Britalena Liebers
Britalena Liebers, ATC

BS Athletic Training, Northern Arizona University (2011)

Brita is currently providing Ballston Spa High School with Athletic Training Services. Prior to joining the team at Saratoga Physical Therapy Associates, she was an assistant trainer at Flagstaff High School and Pima Community College in Arizona. Her past experience also includes working on the Northern Arizona University (Div I) football team’s training staff. Brita has set specific goals to educate young athletes on the importance of injury prevention through conditioning and strengthening programs. When dealing with injured athletes, she utilizes her vast knowledge and expertise in acute acre management of injuries. She will also assist athletes through the various stages of rehabilitation with a goal of return to play.





Tom Connally

Tom Connally, PTA

Prior to joining Saratoga Physical Therapy Associates in 2011, Tom has 10 years of clinical experience in a large outpatient orthopedic facility in Albany. He has worked extensively with a variety of patients suffering orthopedic injuries, including younger and older athletes. Tom has many years of experience with assisting patients through post-operative protocols and prides himself with consistent positive and effective outcomes. Tom maintains a focus on the development of functional therapeutic home exercise programs that promote recovery and prevention of future injuries. Tom understands the importance of exercise and fitness and encourages his patients to adopt a healthy, active lifestyle.

He has over 10 years of clinical experience working with orthopedic post-operative patients and focuses on sports rehab / therapy. He has extensive continuing education training in sports rehabilitation and functional training. Matt stresses a focus on the development of functional therapeutic home exercise programs that promote recovery and prevention of injuries. Matt understands the importance of exercise and fitness and encourages his patients to adopt a healthy, active lifestyle.
